American STEM Prep is an institution dedicated to educating students in the STEM field.  Our curriculum is based on the Common Core Standards from the United States and we have daily Engineering and Technology classes for all grade levels.  We currently offer grades 1st-9th with continued yearly expansion up to 12th grade.  We take a whole child approach to teaching and not only teach our students academic skills but also, social and emotional learning skills so that they are well prepared for whatever challenges they may face in the future.

Part-Time PE Teacher for Middle/High School

American STEM Prep. located in the Gwanggyo neighorhood is looking for a part-time Physical Education teacher for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. The PE teacher will develop and deliver engaging physical education and health lessons for middle and high school students. In particular, the teacher will be expected to provide instruction in various physical activities, sports, and fitness techniques, fostering skill development and promoting lifelonng physical wellness. Experience managing a positive and inclusive classroom environment that is conducive to learning as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Teacher will assess student performance through various means, including observation, participation, and skill demonstrations, and provide constructive feedback to support student growth. Teachers will be expected to communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration regarding progress, upcoming events, and any concerns related to physical education or health classes. Supporting, leading, and guiding extracurricular activities such as sport clubs or fitness programs to help promote teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship among students is an expectation for this job. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or related field preferred. State certification or eligibility for certification. Previous experience working with middle/high school students in a teaching or coaching capacity. Strong knowledge of physical education principles, fitness concepts, and various sports and activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders. CPR and first aid certification (a plus).
